Description UncleOwen 2006-08-29 08:07:41 UTC
There have been at least 3 occations during the last week, where file sizes recorded in digests have been wrong by _exactly_ 6 Bytes. See

http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144663
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-492389.html
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141030

I don't think that this is by chance. Maybe there is something wrong with how digests are created in the latest portage versions?

The 6 bytes seems to be something about Attic/ in the header when ebuilds are pulled from the attic (app-editors/xemacs-21.4.17 and sys-apps/qingy-0.7.4 were both pulled from the attic prior to the problem occuring).
