Plz add comment about it. > hi first of all I don't do ruby so I may be wrong. but all non-c programs have a eclass from which you should inherit. read /usr/portage/eclass/ruby.eclass it should let you replace most of the stuff there with the "correct" way. you may also want to check out versionator.eclass for MY_P last but not least there is an overlay call sunrise they are always in mod of helping out, drop by #gentoo-sunrise on freenode, post a link to the ebuild and someone will (politely) tell you how to fix it.
Created attachment 109008 [details] flvtool2-1.0.5_rc6.ebuild Here's a slightly improved ebuild. In theory, src_install shouldn't be required but the setup.rb in this package doesn't seem to handle the install prefix like the others.
== Version 1.0.6 * FLVTool2 is now published also as a gem * fixed inspect at audio tags (thanks Andrew Wason) * updated exe generation to new exerb version (4.1.0) * small bugfix for mencoder encoded files causing a segmentation fault * Changed newline character of tags.xml file to \n Final version =]
Created attachment 114013 [details] revised ebuild for v1.0.6 This was derived from some existing Ruby-related ebuilds, as I only ran across this bug after coming up with my own working ebuild. :-)
*** Bug 189191 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***

(In reply to comment #9) > when ? o_0 > When a dev is intrested about it, or you become a dev and maintain it yourself.
I also need the flvtool2 ( needed by a spipmotion web install ) any news concerning this ebuild ? cant find it in portage ;(
As a dev, I'm willing to either sponsor/help fix this package or take it over myself. I have some other projects/ebuilds that depend on it - although I may depend on users quite a bit to help test it. toto - your lost comment here was a few years ago, are you still using gentoo and interested in this package? I will credit you when the ebuild gets cleaned up and updated and then added to tree. Thanks.
hi Matthew, I just create my own overlay -] And Gentoo still rocks =] thx
This tool has been in my 'graaff' overlay for some time. If there is still interest I could add it to the main tree.
