I complained earlier about xfce not emerging without requiring gnome, and I
thought that had been fixed, but I've just installed a new _rc2 system, and
gdk-pixbuf ( a dependancy of xfce) now requires gnome, so I temporarily pathced
the xfce ebuild to require only imlib.
What would be nice for packages like gdk-pixbuf would be to have gnome ebuilds
and non-gnome ebuilds (for pure gtk+ users) with a "virtual gdk-pixbuf."  This
philosophy should be rigorously followed for packages with optional (mega!)
components.
