Description Malcolm Scott 2003-01-21 19:57:37 UTC
When merging net-www/apache-2.0.43-r1, some files were due to be installed into
/usr/lib/apache2. On my system, this was a symlink to /usr/local/apache2.

Emerge claimed that it had installed the files correctly (all the ">>>
/usr/lib/apache2/..." lines were present as expected) but the files never made
it to the destination. No error message was seen, they just silently didn't get
installed. The problem was fixed by removing the symlink and remerging - all
files ended up in their correct locations.

Strangely, though, some files were successfully installed into subdirectories,
e.g. /usr/lib/apache2/build/ .
