Description Stephan Sokolow 2006-08-06 20:28:34 UTC
mount -o loop fails because loop0 is busy without being used by mount. It needs to fail over to loop1 (or higher) as necessary.

This happens even immediately after booting. However, using losetup manually on loop1 and mounting it will work properly.

it already does fall back to other loop devices

no idea what you're trying to do exactly here so i cant really investigate further

post your `mount` commands and /etc/fstab entries
Comment 3 Stephan Sokolow 2006-08-07 16:58:44 UTC
It looks like one of the updates I did in the last few weeks fixed it. I'm not sure whether it was a kernel update or a userspace update that did it though.

I'll come back with logs if the problem crops up again.

I forgot to mention... I said "last few weeks" because I forget what my reboot schedule was, but i know I built and set up the new kernel almost immediately every time one was emerged.
