Description Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-22 09:05:08 UTC
current stable net-mail/mailutils-0.6-r2 fails to build with GCC 4.1 (bug #122985).
if possible, please stabilize >=net-mail/mailutils-0.6-r3 so we can work on getting GCC 4.1 into stable.

thanks ;d

Arches, please do your magic.
Comment 2 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-25 06:31:11 UTC
1) emerges fine
2) passes collision test
3) fails test suite

So... stable (even though it fails tests)?
Comment 4 Jesus Rivero (Neurogeek) 2006-08-26 20:19:25 UTC
in x86 gcc-4.1

1) emerges fines
2) passes colission tests
3) works

QA Notice: the following files are setXid, dyn linked, and using lazy bindings
This combination is generally discouraged. Try re-emerging the package:
 LDFLAGS='-Wl,-z,now' emerge mailutils

No test suite for this one.. weird

Comment 5 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-02 05:21:50 UTC
Please, do it. The tests fail in -r2 regardless, so it's no regression, and lazy bindings should be solved in glibc instead of hacking the ebuilds (see Bug 71609).
Comment 6 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2006-09-06 12:02:52 UTC
1.) emerges fine on x86
2.) passes collision-test
3.) seems to work
