where's the ebuild?
Comment 2 Susie Edgeworth 2003-01-27 05:19:35 UTC
I have no idea. I put in a request for this, limewire, and one or two other
things. This and one other I got the rep back saying their was an ebuild but
I've not seen it either. I'm not sure how to make an ebuild myself as I'm new
to gentoo and prior had been on mandrake(and haven't programmed since the '80s).
So semi newbie to *nix and definite newbie to gentoo having only been using it
for aprox 3 weeks.

susie, what were the other things you requested?

as for a limewire ebuild, it will take some time, probably, just because we are
preparing for a 1.4 release, and the current focus is on bug-fixing.

Hi the other programs I requested were:

Newsticker for gkrellm - which gives headlines to things like slashdot.
Largo Recipes - Which is compatable with some other like programs(mealmaster) and stores recipes basically.
Pingus - Which is a lemmings clone.

Why I requested limewire (which is java based) is I've used it on both nix and windows before and for some reason the qtella doesn't seem to be finding anyone on it's network when I installed it.

Btw how do I remove a bug? There was one item I put in as I thought I nailed it down as being the cause of a few system issues but when I click resolve it wont let me alter it.(It's listed uncomfirmed and I wanted to change it to invalid as the bug has now come back since that software was removed - the software was multi-gnome terminal) I'm not sure what is causing the bug now only that it's a frustrating one and occured after a few updates were done.(kdegames/kdeutils and gentools I think though one graphics lib also upgraded) I'm too newbie or just don't grok it enough to quite figure out what's doing it yet.(I did mention my problem on the user help list but so far no answers back and that was days ago)

How long until this will become part of the portage ebuilds?
