I'm running media-sound/audacity, version 1.3.0b. This problem also appears in version 1.2.1, currently marked stable for x86. When doing recording or playback, the audacity cursor (the one running top to bottom across all tracks which indicates the current recording/playback position) does not move. Instead it blinks and remains in the same place. Repositioning the cursor by clicking elsewhere works (the cursor moves to that position, and then remains stationary). Playback does *not* skip to the new location, but by pressing stop and then play it starts from there. I'm running audacity "under KDE", although I suppose that shouldn't make any difference. Switching the GTK theme doesn't help. I could try running it under Gnome but I don't have it on my system presently, so it would take me some time to emerge it. Any suggestions? could you please try with 1.3.2-r1 and report upstream if this is still a bug ? unfortunately there is not much we can do for that if it's not a gentoo-specific bug
