This is the bug, happens like this no matter which package is emerged. I just performed an emerge sync, which I believe was the catalyst for this error. Might have got a bad sync.

# emerge -up portage

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies \!!! Cannot resolve a virtual package name to an ebuild.
!!! This is a bug, please report it. (virtual/libintl-0)
