Mattepiu: Your abuse of newdepend/XMLTV_OPTS in media-tv/xmltv needs to be
removed ASAP. Please ask on gentoo-dev ML for a new USE_EXPAND envvar and
convert the ebuild to that.

I don't know where you got these info, but newdepend and XMLTV_OPTS aren't in the ebuild anymore. I Already asked to gentoo-dev ML for a new USE_EXPAND and Vapier
answered me to use local use flags as I'm actually doing. (xmltv-0.5.43 and 0.5.44 are my ebuilds, olders are there just cause I can't still ask to stabilize mines 
cause of much interventions on them).

I close the bug cause of inexistence, feel free to reopen if you have notice of
a different decision from gentoo-base or QA projects, I'm now sticked
to their actual decision.

Please do not close down a valid QA bug.

Versions <0.5.39 are still affected by this and still in the tree.

Ok, version <=0.5.39 are confirmed to be unusable (sorry I hadn't a stable
machine to test, I had to ask), so I removed them from portage.
As a result, there's no stable version of xmltv until bug #140447 isn't closed.

someone closed bug #140447 so this one should be closed too.
