Please consider catching and removing the CXXFLAG "-fvisibility-inlines-hidden" in future wxWidgets ebuilds. This (in my opinion) is not an unusual or particularly over-the-top flag to use, but when wxGTK 2.6.2-r1 is compiled with this flag, the wxWidgets plugin for VLC (0.84a - 0.85-r1) fails for me, and apparently also breaks aMule.
