Description Alexander Skwar 2006-06-10 14:40:20 UTC
To satisfy the dependencies of rpm, I "wanted" to install beecrypt, with following flags:

alexander@blatt ~ $ emerge -vpt rpm

These are the packages that would be merged, in reverse order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] app-arch/rpm-4.4.1-r1 USE="-doc nls -python" 11,227 kB
[ebuild N ] dev-libs/beecrypt-4.1.2-r1 USE="-java mmx -nocxx -python sse sse2 -threads" 0 kB

This fails:

Comment 1 Alexander Skwar 2006-06-13 00:46:05 UTC
I'd like to be able to use RPM - could the dependency on beecrypt please be dropped?
Comment 2 Alexander Skwar 2006-06-14 07:13:59 UTC
As soon as I set the "sse2" USE flag, beecrypt doesn't compile. Seeing that this package is not maintained (I suppose so because of the "maintainer-needed@gentoo.org" assignee), I'd like to suggest removing the "sse2" USE flag.

Now reported upstream as well; please see URL - http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1506076&group_id=8924&atid=208924

CFLAGS shows -march=pentium-m see bug # 124900.
