I had rt2400 working on AMD64 as described in Bug 116555. After recompiling kernel and modules (rt2400 included) with new gcc-4.1.1 I was unable to load this module getting: rt2400: falsely claims to have parameter ifname It was solved by installing CVS version from http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/ accordingly to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1069. I have sys-apps/module-init-tools-3.0-r2 since newer version breaks ALSA like described in Bug 117883. No other changes in kernel configuration or elsewhere in the system were made that could have affected rt2400. GCC version: gcc -v Using built-in specs.
