On that 404 page:

If you're getting this message for a user's home page, e.g. http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~someuser, it probably means that that user's Andrew account and web pages no longer exist.

Well, what to do about it?

Leave a 404 page in the ebuild?
Remove the package?

it's fine how it is.  If you have an alternate homepage, feel free to reopen, otherwise, just leave it.
