scid uses the snack sound package. Support for it could be enabled by a use flag so that when you download scid, snack should be downloaded as a dependency. Paulo Matos
I did some fix to get speech out of scid. I did not add the snack use flag, has the result of the emerge is the same, with or without snack. Otherwise a change of the snack use flag will require a rebuild, and is not necessary. But I added a message to inform that the "snack" package could be helpful to have speech.
