Description Evan Klitzke 2006-05-08 20:06:54 UTC
apmd does not compile on my system (incidentally, I get the same error with all of the older apmd ebuilds as well). This is on a new 2006.0 system that I just installed yesterday.

Comment 1 Steev Klimaszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-08 20:26:34 UTC
This is not an apmd bug, and does not block stabelization.
Comment 2 Evan Klitzke 2006-05-08 20:56:59 UTC
Thanks for the quick reply Steev. I did some more research on this, and I found a relevant post on the gentoo forums: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-448195.html

This person also had the same compile problems as me with sys-apps/apmd-3.2.1_p4 . As a user in a follow up post suggested, I re-emerged libtool and was able to compile apmd. Is this a bug with libtool?

BTW, as far as I'm concerned this bug is closed. I'm not closing it because I'm not sure what the policy on that is (after all, someone else could have this problem) but I don't object to it.

Search please...
