seems a gcc 4.1 error, but i see a sed problem in configure too

I can confirm that it builds fine with gcc-3.4.6, but fails tith gcc-4.1.0.

I'll take the patch from the upstream bug as soon as some texmacs dev says that the patch is good enough.

I guess your are right, gcc-4.1.1 going in ~arch and all :)

Anyway it is fixed now (in 1.0.6-r1)... but it does not seem like upstream think very much of gcc-4 since their newest versions 1.6.0.{1,2} introduces at least one additional problem with gcc-4.
But at least the version in the tree works :)
