Description Julien Cynober 2006-04-19 02:18:52 UTC
(Sorry, I cannot copy/paste the output of my 'emerge --info' on this computer)

My first attempt to 'emerge' koffice-1.5.0 failed with an error message showing that krita needed opengl support in qt : in libkritaui.la, undefined references to QGLWidget:: methods.

I don't use opengl since my video driver doesn't provide 3D-acceleration. qt and koffice itself were compiled with "-opengl".

I tried to rebuild qt with the "opengl" flag turned on (and I had also to rebuild kdelibs), and then 'emerge koffice-1.5.0' succeeded.
By the way, it's not working correctly : doesn't care for my locale settings (interface mostly in english, no spellchecking in french in KWord), "print preview" doesn't work.

My system is almost only on the "stable" branch : gcc 3.4.5-r1, qt 3.3.4-r8, kdelibs 3.4.3-r1. In my make.conf, there is USE="-opengl".

Reopening, upstream "fix" has been reverted, this is still broken in 1.5.1

error message for koffice-1.5.1

This is the error message I got while compiling koffice-1.5.1 with qt-3.3.6-r1 built without opengl support.
Comment 10 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-24 09:00:49 UTC
Is this still a problem with 1.5.2?
Comment 11 Julien Cynober 2006-08-25 06:13:57 UTC
Yes, I have exactly the same problem with koffice-1.5.2.
Comment 12 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-27 16:03:59 UTC
I know it's not what you like to hear, but OpenGL is now forced in 1.5.2-r1. Comment/vote on the upstream bug, if you want to have it fixed.
