Description Krzysztof Stasiorowski 2006-04-15 01:06:52 UTC
According to:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=1&chap=7

7.e. Kernel Modules
Configuring the Modules

You should list the modules you want automatically loaded in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.4 (or kernel-2.6). You can add extra options to the modules too if you want.

I should be able to add options to modules in this file (f.e. bttv card=72 tuner=5), but it doesn't work - modules are loading but with no options. I had to create oprions in /etc/modules.d/ . Is it mistake ?.
This mistake exist also in my native translation (pl).

Are you using an unstable version of udev? The udev guide is for stable versions.

BTW, looks like this is related to bug #129047 ; please see that bug for what's likely going on.

s/udev guide/handbook

And it's not a mistake, it's just that the functionality of an unstable udev version has changed.
Comment 3 Krzysztof Stasiorowski 2006-04-17 02:19:56 UTC
