gnome-terminal does not use login mode by default, which causes /etc/profile not
to be sourced, and you get a non-gentoo-default prompt, shell does not act as it
should since it's not in login mode. Suggest changing gnome-terminal's ebuild to
patch the global config for it.

The patch applies cleanly, but that's as far as I've tested...
