Description Radek Podgorny 2006-04-05 07:52:57 UTC
The /etc/runit/3 file is not working correctly after transition to 1.4 series. The svwaitdown tool have been deprecated and replaced by single unified sv tool. Attaching corrected file. Tested only on single machine but seems to work well. Please not it should be also backwards compatible (working with 1.3 series).

will this work with older versions ? in other words, can i just replace it and not worry about breaking the current stable ?
Comment 3 Frank Benkstein 2006-04-08 14:07:41 UTC
runit-1.3.0 also has the 'sv' command so it should work. I tested it but it unfortunately didn't.

sys-process/runit/files/3

what about this version ? should work for 1.3.x and 1.4.x
Comment 5 Radek Podgorny 2006-04-11 01:55:39 UTC
Well, this one looks to be universal but I'd prefer keeping two versions and modify ebuilds to use 1.3/1.4 one.

BTW, I don't have 1.3 anymore but I can't see a reason why the former 1.4 version shouldn't work. The sv tool should be the same. Frank, can you please elaborate?
