Another package which doesn't like LDFLAGS="-Wl,--as-needed". Patch to follow shortly.

While it does look correct, gdm still fails to compile for me with this patch, the failure happens with libvicious, though I think I will attempt to use the glib as-needed patch and go from there - glib compiled fine for me without the patch, but perhaps something is screwed up in there (plus I may have forgotten to write thta down when I was going through my emerge -e world - 4 days is a long time)

Steev, did you remember to run eautoreconf in the ebuild? This is necessary for the patch to have any effect.

Can you try gdm 2.14.1?  That should compile fine without needing any patching for the as-needed flag.
