The KDE version in Gentoo, 3.4.3, is very old and misses some important bugfixes. For example Konqueror fails with wiki sites, so one has to use Firefox for them. According to [http://kde.org/announcements/changelogs/changelog3_5_1to3_5_2.php] this has been fixed in KDE 3.5.2. Also my banksite reminds me that I should upgrade my ancient browser for security reasons each time I log in. Therefore I would really appreciate if Gentoo could switch to KDE 3.5.2 as soon as possible.
It may be old, but it's the most stable in my opinion. 3.5.1 has been in portage for a long time now. 3.5.2 is in portage for a few days, and you're welcome to use it now.
