media-fonts/font-adobe-75dpi is pulled in by x11-base/xorg-server, and media-fonts/font-adobe-100dpi is pulled in by x11-base/xorg-x11. When trying to build a system without bitmap fonts (at least to the extent possible) this means you have to create overlays.

Please would it be possible to either remove the dependency or place it under a use flag (e.g. the "bitmap-fonts" use flag)?
