I compiled with:

ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -v man-pages-es >salida 2>error &

This compiles and installs the 1.55-r1 version. When is finished, then:

AthlonXP ~ # cat error
iconv: secuencia de entrada ilegal en la posici

I do not consider that a real bug. Please if you are really concerned about this bug, report it upstream. If you happen to have a patch, It'd be welcome.
