I have verified that the program is running in a su - terminal. Only strangeness prior is a " Failed to update OMF Makefile ()"
I have tried running it with MAKEOPTS="-j1", with the posted error. The normal MAKEOPTS error is:
mkdir -p /usr/share/mime/packages/
update-mime-database /usr/share/mime/
update-mime-database: I don't have write permission on /usr/share/mime.

Is this also an issue in the 0.8 versions ?
Comment 2 Sam Barker 2006-03-24 15:10:57 UTC
It works fine with 0.8.1. I had the same problem with 0.7.8 and have just installed

Comment 5 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-28 08:11:51 UTC
Daniel I suggest stabilizing 0.8 or otherwise backporting the mime fix to 0.7 .

The OMF problem is just a warning, nothing to worry about.
Comment 6 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-04 04:26:28 UTC
Marinus,

I'm in favour of a stable 0.8 version.

Was hoping the Gnome herd would push this as they are listed as the maintainer of the (upstream) stable version in the metadata (although metadata is outdated an still refers to 0.6* as stable).

If this doesn't happen soon I'll do a backport. Thanks for the OMF tip.

As per https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130624#c7 seahorse-0.8.1 apparently doesn't work on amd64. Please post evidence to the contrary on bug 130624. If 0.8.1 fails can you please look at 0.9.1 (bug 128780)

Once that goes stable I can remove the 0.7* and not worry about this bug :-)
