Description bcf 2006-03-20 13:14:51 UTC
emerge phpmyadmin

Steps to Reproduce: `emerge phpmyadmin` with php4 or php-cgi (php4) installed.

Actual Results:

!!! Error: The above package list contains packages which cannot be installed
!!! on the same system.

with blocked packages being:

[blocks B ] dev-php/php-cgi (is blocking dev-lang/php-5.1.2)
[blocks B ] dev-php/php (is blocking dev-lang/php-5.1.2)

Expected Results:

actually emerge phpmyadmin

Comments: php in this case being installed for lighttpd (lighttpd-1.3.16 (ssl) Build-Date: Mar 20 2006 15:17:57) thus the php-cgi.

so, it seems as if php-5.1.2 is now listed as a dependency for phpmyadmin versus the dependcy being php4 | php5.

I installed phpmyadmin succesfully ~1 month ago on lighttpd with php-cgi - all worked well. As far as phpmyadmin is concerned, its dependencies should be *either* php4 or php5.

cheers,
b
