Description Mike Hammill 2006-03-16 07:00:50 UTC
During coldplugging one gets the message "Oops: Kernel access of bad area, sig 11 [#1]". See also discussion at <http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-442693.html>. This applied to the 2006.0 minimal ppc CD. No other 2006.0 CDs were tested.

The work around is to use the "nodetect" option.

Note that 2005.1-r1 boots the same machine without problems.

The B&W G3 is a quite nasty machine. We had a lot of problems with it in the past. I don't want to change the CDs in any way, when 'nodetect' cat boot that machine properly.

wolf31o2: Resolve this bug as WONTFIX
