Hello folks, I ran into issues with my mailman installation. There were some messages missing in the archives. So I tried to regenerate the archive (bin/arch) and ran into problems: http://www.nabble.com/UnicodeDecodeError:-'ascii'-codec-can't-decode-t1121258.html describes them pretty much, although I do not have the message I got... :-( If you just klick on the link, you will find a statement from Mark Sapiro, which is a mailman developer, and he suggests to apply a patch. After reading this, I took the mailman-2.1.7.ebuild and worked in the patch. It is tested on my server (x86) and works like a charm. Ebuild and patch follow. Please get this into portage ASAP. Please apply these [1] _official_ patched to mailman asap, this bug(s) causes lots of trouble while using system with utf-8 locale.
