I didn't see an ebuild for the new Audacity 1.3.x line (1.3.0b at present), so I made one myself, adapted from 1.2.4b-r1. See attached. This compiles on my x86 laptop. I haven't been able to test it on other platforms. I've used it just a bit so far and haven't noticed any bugs, segfaults, etc. Also, I know almost nothing about how to write ebuilds, so if you don't like the line in src_unpack() that says 'mv "${S}-beta" "${S}"' you're welcome to fix it and post your changes. :-)

Make sure you get one of the versions off bug Bug #110809 with dependancies fixed - audacity 1.3.0 temporarily has a hard dependancy on libogg / libvorbis, which will go away in 1.3.1 (in the next 5 weeks hopefully). The unstream package name is 1.3.0b beta, the b being a re-release due to a language pack problem, the beta being somewhat superflous as all the 1.3.x are beta releases (we follow kernel numbering).
taken from the patch for the older version, i created a new ebuild and patch for us 1.3.0 people. compiles against gcc-4.1.1.
