emerge-delta-webrsync is fetching from ftp://ftp.example.com///gentoo/snapshots/portage-20060224.tar.bz2.md5sum . The patch cleanes the uri to ftp://ftp.example.com/gentoo/snapshots/portage-20060224.tar.bz2.md5sum .

Just wondering if it would fail with some older version of Portage and GENTOO_MIRRORS not ending with /. zmedico probably knows better here.
