Hello,

after an update (emerge --update --deep world) my wlan-card (ipw2200) doesn´t work anymore. Before update it worked fine. Seems to be a problem of udev. The firmware-handler could not load the firmware. The firmware is in /lib/firmware where the firmware-agent is looking for. My kernel is 2.6.15-gentoo-r1. I´m using the ipw2200-module from the kernel. First I thought of an individual problem of my system, but after looking in the web I find more people with the same problem. I don´t know if you heard about this already, but I thought to report it anyway.
