Comment 1 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2006-02-19 02:04:15 UTC
is your /usr by any chance a symlink?

what does `ls -la /usr` and `ls -la /usr/share` say?
Comment 2 Carl A. Dunham 2006-02-19 07:14:42 UTC
Sorry, this is a result of the *$*&^$ coreutils bug...
Comment 3 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2006-02-19 07:21:10 UTC
ah thanks, do you have a pointer to that bug?

and, can I mark this one as invalid, or does it still needs some fixing?
Comment 4 Carl A. Dunham 2006-02-19 07:26:23 UTC
I think http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123342 is the definitive bug, but it's hard to tell.
