Hi, this is intended, dev-lang/php and dev-php/php are two different ebuilds providing the same thing: PHP support in Gentoo, so they conflict. Please only use dev-lang/php now as dev-php/php etc. are unsupported, take a look at our documentation at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/php/ about upgrading to dev-lang/php. And the next time, please provide more informations on a bug, at least the output of the emerge that showed the "conflicts". Best regards, CHTEKK.
