Description Brian Magnuson 2002-12-11 09:28:25 UTC
This fails almost immediatly after configure with...
sed: can't read /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/libstdc++.la: No such
file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/libstdc++.la' is not a
valid libtool archive

The issue being I have gcc 3.2.1 installed so the 3.2 in the above paths should
be 3.2.1
Comment 1 Hannes Mehnert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-11 09:37:00 UTC
please run '/usr/portage/sys-devel/gcc/files/fix_libtool_files.sh 3.2'
and emerge kdebase.
Comment 2 Brian Magnuson 2002-12-11 10:17:10 UTC
ok, this appears to be working. I can see that the ebuild for was updated
about three days after it was created with the libtool fixer-upper. Remerging
gcc would have fixed my problem, but of course seems awfully heavyweight for a
10 second fix. maybe i should open a feature request (if it hasn't been done
already) for emerge to have an option to merge ebuilds that have not had a
version bump but have been updated since last merged. that would have at least
tipped me off to the changes in gcc. well, either that or I could have dug a
little bit more before opening a bug but... :)
