Description R!tman 2006-01-08 05:30:38 UTC
When emerging ati-drivers-8.20.8 I get this:

WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-gentoo/video/fglrx.ko needs unknown symbol pm_register
WARNING: //lib/modules/2.6.15-gentoo/video/fglrx.ko needs unknown symbol pm_unregister_all

I could not find anything else wrong, but I can post more stuff if neccessary.

There's no error here, so yes.

Comment 2 Marien Zwart (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-08 05:37:03 UTC
Works here. I think you need CONFIG_PM_LEGACY (Power management options (ACPI, APM) -> legacy power management API) enabled in your kernel configuration.
Comment 3 R!tman 2006-01-08 05:59:24 UTC
Enabling CONFIG_PM_LEGACY did the trick for the error messages. X still did not start at first, but the issue was of another kind.

Sorry for bothering you...
