With version 0.50.3 of aspell, there's a nasty crash issue in inkscape.

Making spell enabled builds of inkscape 0.43 depend on aspell >=0.50.5 would stop this from occurring.

inkscape does not depend on aspell at all, it depends on gtkspell.

Besides, app-text/aspell-0.50.5-r4 is the lowest version in portage.

That may be true, but I for one managed to get a version installed with 0.50.3 and portage didn't bat an eyelid.

Granted though that it doesn't belong here as it's an upstream dependency (?).
