updating my system to dbus 0.60.x, i had lots of things to recompile, so i checked with revdep-rebuild one line was : broken /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/uri (requires libdbus-1.so.1) and the final result was : emerge --oneshot =app-office/criawips-0.0.11 ... =media-gfx/gimp-2.3.5USE="X%pdf%-postscript%" =media-video/totem-1.3.0 ... .......... Calculating dependencies / !!! '=media-gfx/gimp-2.3.5USE="X%pdf%-postscript%"' is not a valid package atom. portage : 2.1_pre3-r1 gentoolkit : 0.2.2_pre1 those 3 USE flags are the one that did not exist when i last built gimp 2.3.5
The new format means the parsing has to change for revdep to process.
What version of gentoolkit do you have installed?
(In reply to comment #1) > The new format means the parsing has to change for revdep to process. emerge's --columns option gives better output for parsing.
Created attachment 76428 [details, diff] Patch for revdep-rebuild Proposed patch to revdep-rebuild
This is caused by emerge in portage-2.1 changing behavior and printing new USE flags even when --verbose has not been specified. I will fix this issue with gentoolkit-0.2.2. This does mean that revdep-rbuild in gentoolkit-0.2.1 will be broken if used with portage-2.1. Additionally if portage-2.1 retains this behavior and is ready to go stable, gentoolkit-0.2.2 will also have to go stable at the same time if it hasn't been stabilized at that point already.
Fixed in gentoolkit-0.2.2_pre2

Easier fix would have been to add --quiet to the options...
