Description Benjamin Smee (strerror) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-06 01:45:00 UTC
Markus will be joining us to help with general bug squashing for netmon and potentially helping out with openldap maintaining.

He is jokey on freenode.

I (strerror) will be mentoring him.
Comment 1 Benjamin Smee (strerror) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-10 01:39:11 UTC
Jokey has finished his quiz and submitted it. Having looked over it first it seems fine to me.
Comment 2 Markus Ullmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-14 05:14:28 UTC
end quiz sent in, thanks to strerror for all his help
Comment 3 Benjamin Smee (strerror) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-19 09:37:51 UTC
end quiz is fine with me. If I can get this expedited at all that would be great as I am heading off on a holiday soonish and I would like to make sure I have enough time with Markus to go through all the initial commits etc.
Comment 4 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-28 03:44:14 UTC
All done.
Comment 5 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-25 19:58:54 UTC
jer@woodpecker ~ $ cat ../jokey/.away
Uni takes too much time. Back on Mid Feb 2010

@qa: Maybe it isn't time just yet to start removing jokey's packages.
Comment 6 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-25 21:32:15 UTC
No idea what this is referring to, but if a package needs to get masked and removed, its going to get masked and removed regardless of the status of the maintainer.

Well my diploma is due 18. this month, let's extend it to that to see what I can do with my free time afterwards. If I'll spend it on other stuff, I'll let you know then asap

Any updates on your status jokey?
Comment 10 Markus Ullmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-14 21:37:13 UTC
Sorry guys. For now it seems my workload is too high to dedicate some time to gentoo although I'm even using it on a daily basis at work.

So as long as this doesn't change, I better officially retire until I have time to properly come back (which definitely will happen after summer as we are planning a project which will involve a bunch of testing and developing on portage-tree fork (which should in turn be merged back)

If you plan to arrive again after summer, maybe other option would simply post a "long" devaway message and try to drop maintainance of your packages, that way you won't have to wait months to become a dev again

Lets clean bugs, metadata etc like we do with all retirements but don't assign this bug to infra (yet). If Markus fail to set a devaway within a month then we will proceed with the rest of the retirement process
