Dec 26 16:03:50 [kernel] grsec: From 192.168.0.101: denied resource overstep by requesting 6840320 for RLIMIT_MEMLOCK against limit 32768 for /usr/sbin/ntpd[ntpd:28327] uid/euid:123/123 gid/egid:123/123, parent /sbin/init[init:1] uid/euid:0/0 gid/egid:0/0 

I finally solved the problem:
The ebuild for 'ntp-4.2.0.20040617-r3' (net-misc/ntp/ntp-4.2.0.20040617-r3.ebuild) is missing the patch 'ntp-4.2.0.20050303-rlimit-memlock.patch'. Updating the ebuild to include this fixed it.

Just thought that maybe this should be updated in portage.
