Description Devils-Hawk 2005-12-21 02:35:33 UTC
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=virtual/libstdc++-3.3" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- virtual/libstdc++-3.3 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
section 2.2 "Software Availability" in the Gentoo Handbook.

!!! Problem with ebuild sys-apps/man-pages-2.17
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.
Comment 1 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-21 02:55:05 UTC
The virtual marked stable for x86. Most likely the same thing is needed on amd64.
Comment 2 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-21 06:13:02 UTC
Marked stable on amd64 too.
Comment 3 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-12-21 10:48:29 UTC
has nothing to do with man-pages
Comment 4 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-21 10:55:32 UTC
Has nothing to do with toolchain either really.

Devils-Hawk: can you post the output of `emerge info'.
Comment 5 Devils-Hawk 2005-12-21 14:54:32 UTC
Actually now that the virtual is stable on x86 everything is working fine but here is the emerge info nevertheless:

Do you have anything in your /etc/portage/package.keywords? If so, please post the file here.

package.keywords

have fun reading! ;)
Comment 8 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-21 16:22:16 UTC
Your package.keywords accepts "sys-devel/gcc -*" You'll need to unmask virtual/libstdc++ as well, which was the problem.
