I got some error message about -fno-stack-protector-all being a wrong command option for gcc. Result: configure fails, ebuild fails I fixed it by just removing the check for hardened-ness in the ebuild (commented it out) and configure runs smooth now. Is in the process of compiling everything. Has the behaviour changed with the new gcc? If so, there should be a check for which gcc version you are using. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Same goes for mozilla-thunderbird-1.5 Comment the check for hardened stuff out in the ebuild and compile works fine.
