MAC: short for Monkey's Audio Codec, a lossless audio codec (almost with the
.ape extension).

Since 3.99 update 4 build 4, mac-port has support for big endian platforms,
and has been tested in MAC OSX 10.4, Linux PowerPC and SunOS Sparc, 
but need more tests in more OSes and more Platforms.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge mac
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
Calculating dependencies   
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "mac".

Expected Results:  
>>> media-sound/mac-3.99-r4 merged.
>>> Recording media-sound/mac in "world" favorites file...

Maybe, but this is not the place to flame about what license is better.
Thanks for the segnalation of Duplicate, I didn't saw it in my search.
