Description Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-25 04:55:17 UTC
I haven't whipped up an ebuild yet because I've been installing it manually on
a few systems, but I can do so if needed.

Well, perhaps it's time to install Qt 4 first....
Comment 2 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-20 23:32:22 UTC
Since I currently have trouble finding time for more urgent bugs, just go ahead if you want to...

committed.

Just saw qwt-5 is in portage.
One Problem for us is, the ebuild depends on QT4 (and we dont want to install now) but we need a current version of qwt. But qwt doesnt depend, it just has QT4 support.

Another question is about the naming of the ebuild. As this is not the released 5.0 (its just a snapshot i think) shouldn't the name be something like 4.9.99-date ?
Comment 5 Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-26 22:25:18 UTC
Yes, I think this should better be qwt-5_pre20060130 (because this is just a snapshot, not even a release candidate).

Caleb, would be nice if you could fix this.

I'll re-version, but I'm not sure what that will do to people who have already emerged..?
Comment 8 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-31 09:32:33 UTC
ok, I renamed the version.

I'll look into the split of qt3/qt4 support as well.

this has been in portage for a while now.
