As mentioned in https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101120#c2 and https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104112#c2 and I assume a number of other times and locations gnupg-1.4.2-r2 is ready to hit the land of stability. The outstanding bug is bug 85263 key signing problem as root (exists in current stable version). I don't think this should preclude its stabilisation.
I've actually been running this for some time now on my stable x86 box.
(Given note about key signing) Good to go stable on amd64...been in use for 2 months here.
Also been using it for quite some time myself, tests out fine on my stable box too. Stable on amd64.
stable on ppc64
sparc stable.

I forgot I posted 104112. It was a while ago! Then, when trying to figure which bug report was the appropriate one to jog the process, I chose the earlier one. I can _assure_ you I did not post that any other places! :) But I _am_ glad it's stable now. Thx.
Something to consider is bug #113474 which breaks any automatic tinderbox testing.
bug #113474 should be fixed now. Standby on bug #113521 that magiclly appeared.
