After emerging gimp-2.2.9, a shortcut from KDE K Menu->Graphics had gone. After small investigation I found out: There is a @gimp-2.2.desktop link in /usr/share/applications pointing on /usr/ share/gimp/2.0/misc/gimp.desktop file, but I think, soft links are omitted by K Menu. Moving /usr/share/gimp/2.0/misc/gimp.desktop file to /usr/share/applications fix this issue Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge gimp-2.2.9 2. 3. Actual Results: gimp entry in K Menu is gone Expected Results: gimp entry in K Menu should still exist. Put in /usr/share/applications real gimp.desktop file instead of soft link to it, please. Does this problem still exist with media-gfx/gimp-2.3.9? It doesn't install a symlink, but a real file.
