can you compile with debug useflag and something like -> ( substituting your own CFLAGS ) FEATURES="nostrip" USE="debug" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -g -ggdb". then get a backtrace by: gdb xchat run bt thread apply all bt and post the results here.(or attach if its long) Also, try unsetting your LDFLAGS and re-emerging.
