inkscape-0.42.2 crash at every startup with this error code : *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x086c0910 *** Emergency save activated! Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now. If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it. Here is a list of info on my system : # emerge info Portage 2.0.51.22-r3 (default-linux/x86/2005.1, gcc-3.3.6, glibc-2.3.5-r2, 2.6.13-gentoo-r3 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.13-gentoo-r3 i686 AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2000+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 distcc 2.18.3 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5-r2, 2.4.2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.12 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.20 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -ffast-math" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -ffast-math" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" LINGUAS="fr" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow 3dnowext X aac acpi alsa apm audiofile avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bzip2 cdr crypt cups dvd dvdread eds emboss encode exif expat fam ffmpeg foomaticdb fortran ftp gdbm gif glut gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 hal idn imlib java jpeg junit kde lcms libg++ libwww mad matroska mikmod mmap mmmext mmx mmxext mng motif mp3 mpeg ncurses nptl nptlonly nsplugin nvidia ogg oggvorbis opengl pam pcre pdflib perl pic png python qt quicktime readline rtc samba sdl spell sse ssl svg tcltk tcpd tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev usb vorbis wifi win32codecs x264 xml2 xv xvid zlib linguas_fr userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY The problem seems to be related to a new version of glibc, perhaps a progamm not re-emerged after glibc. I have already tried re-emerging glibmm gtkmm glibc libsigc++ gtk+, without any differences. The result of a strace inkscape is very long, so i'll post it only if requested. If some infos are missing, fell free to ask.
