Description yardbird 2005-11-12 01:58:37 UTC
At the present time gst-plugins depends on gconf-2. However this dependence is
not strictly required, as gst-plugins can be built without gconf support.
Besides, for those who are not using Gnome (like me :P) gconf pulls some other
stuff, like orbit, which just adds bloat.

So why don't we make gconf-2 dependency optional and add a "gnome" USE flag to
the ebuild? The simple attached patch does exactly this.

Reproducible: Always

This is being sorted for gnome 2.14 (gstreamer 0.10). My local overlay already
has this split.

So please be patient. Doing this now would affect many stable packages!
