I'd really like to join the gentoo-users mailinglist. Unfortunately does the address [1] show the same page as [2], so there's no way to reach the listbot via HTTP. Regards, Malte [1]http://lists.gentoo.org/ [2]http://www.gentoo.org/index.xml
I just tried to go there [3] via Google [4], just 404. [3]http://lists.gentoo.org/mailman/listinfo/gentoo-user
afaik lists.gentoo.org is an old link from a previous website version. The main page was reverted back for some reason yesterday, but has since been fixed. The Mailing lists link on main page should be fine now (I just tried and it worked). It no longers points to lists.gentoo.org, but to the new mailing list pages.
Yep, seems like the link is fixed. But lists.gentoo.org still displays the _old_ homepage. I think there might be some people like me who just type lists.gentoo.org and expect to find the the mailing lists there. Maybe it would be more convenient if this address just forwarded them to [5]. And Google finds it [4], too, but the link produces a 404 (seems like there are some pretty old pages in Google's index). lists.gentoo.org removed, general lists link is working. Closing bug.
